RRB Group D Exam Date 2020

Railway Recruitment Board has released the Group D Recruitment notification and a large number of applicants have applied for these vacancies. The application process has ended and now the aspirants are waiting for the Group D Exam Date. We are informed that RRB has not yet specified any particular date for the Exam. The wait for the RRB Group D Exam Date is going to end soon as the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will soon announce the dates of the said exams. In a telephonic discussion with Shiksha, Angaraj Mohan, Executive Director, Railway Board said, “RRB Group D and NTPC exam dates will be released shortly. As per the advice of the Ministry of Railways, we are about to confirm a private agency for conducting the exam. Once the exam conducting authority is finalized, the exam dates will be announced on the official website.”

“Candidates are requested to visit the official website regularly to get any update regarding RRB Group D  exams,” Mohan further added. When requested for a tentative month of the exam, the Executive Director did not answer. Candidates who have applied for the exam are advised to begin their homework as the exam dates will be announced soon.

RRB Group D Selection Procedure:

 The candidates will have to go through 3 phases as given below to qualify for this post.

 Phase 1: Computer Based Test

 The Question Paper for First Stage CBT will be of

  • 90 minutes duration
  • 100 questions
  • 120 minutes for PwBD candidates.

Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is obligatory and the criterion for PET is as under:

Male Candidates Female Candidates
Should be able to pick up and bring 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; andShould be able to run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. Should be able to pick up and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; andShould be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Phase 3: Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination

Based on the presentation of candidates in CBT and PET, aspirants twice the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification. Eligible candidates will be finally selected for the posts.
